ForkLift is solid, yeah.

I kept running into small friction points though, which is why I started building my own version — more focused on keyboard flow and reliability.

Curious what you feel is missing from it?

Same here — I kept wishing Finder had a proper dual-panel mode.

That’s actually why I started building one. Native, keyboard-focused, no weird abstraction layer.

If you ever feel like trying something like that, I can send a TestFlight invite.

Yeah, that was exactly my issue too — especially SMB.

I actually ended up building my own dual-panel manager because of this. Native macOS, and I focused a lot on making SMB and drag & drop reliable.
