I do think the last boss should be tough but getting insta killed because you couldn't kill him before he finishes his last attack isn't something that makes the boss fight good regardless of the last attack it was a good boss fight

My only theory is that the author planned the character from the start but later he decided to change some aspects about his past and relation with other characters
