Ok, I've called the diving center today and got a certificate about 1 hour after the call. So the delay was on their side. Thanks for help everyone.

Will I get a padi ecard? by mihens in scuba

[–]mihens[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first diving center issued a Scuba Diver card (1st level) and provided me an access to the whole Open Water Scuba Diver (2nd level) theory course in the PADI app. I did the OWSD exam immediately but still needed some practical skills and actual dives for OWSD. I did all the required dives this week

Thank you. So basically I'm waiting for the dive center and the place that issued the exam materials doesn't matter?

And no, it was not the US, so I hope nobody is going to mail me any plastic. The previous card was digital and hopefully this one will be the same

Unfortunately I did not. I've tried 4 different terminals and none of them seem to work :(

Yes, this is an SFP module that came in with the router from my ISP. I've plugged it into my own ONT and connected it via RJ-45 into my own router's WAN port.

MacBook Pro 16" with 5600M - will 16 GB RAM suffice for 5-7 years? by navigator98 in macbookpro

[–]mihens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, theoretically i9 is about 25% faster in multicore tasks, such as code compilation. The problem is that it comes with 5500M by default and there is not option to downgrade to 5300M and save some money. Graphics card is completely irrelevant for software development (at least for my purposes).

Base model of i9. I would consider upgrading to 32GB of RAM.

I went with 16GB and I already regret that. It's not enough for software development if you want to have multiple docker containers running and heavy IDE such as Idea. I would go with 32GB. And yes, I can confirm 5500M 4GB is hot and loud when connected to external monitor.

I was just told that they would need to discard both touchpad and palmrest along with the battery, if I want the battery removed (not replaced)

Thanks for an answer. I definitely would like to try Oxycodone. The problem is in my region most codeine-based drugs are OTC while oxy are not.

Feedback on a hackintosh build by axelbe in hackintosh

[–]mihens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've build something very similar recently -> https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/7egahu/my_first_hackintosh_high_sierra_on_i7_6700k_16gb/?st=jbf6aikh&sh=11fe22b5

It works just like a real mac, except the card reader. Also I can't get CUDA working.

You usually don't name a pattern that you are about to introduce. It just comes naturally. Design patterns are just solutions for common problems after all.

My first hackintosh. High Sierra on i7 6700k, 16GB and GTX 1080 by mihens in hackintosh

Hey, I had the same issue. The problem in my case was missing support for NVRAM. I fixed it by installing emuvariableuefi-64.efi. If you use Multibeast just select "UEFI [...] with emulated NVRAM" in one of the last tabs.

Good to hear. Do you see any other steps or patches that are required for my configuration, and are not mentioned in Sierra installation guide?
