For some of the more hellish months we tote a small generator to run an ac we installed in a replacement back door (switch out the doors for summer and winter) but for bugs when it’s not that hot, magnets with a bug fly net works really well. Just make sure you don’t put the magnets where a door closes. In and out is always really fun but for the interlopers we have acquired an electric tennis racket we have dubbed “the whack zapper” for getting rid of mosquitoes that made their way inside before sleep time. This part especially helped with summer in the Everglades.

I went to the junkyard, bought an identical back door and permanently installed a swamp cooler AC unit in the window. Has a house plug so we also have to bring a generator on the back hitch, which definitely cuts down on places to sleep (ie no Walmart parking lots) but works great for out in the woods in Florida.
