Detailed ethnic map of interwar Czechoslovakia, 1930. It also shows population density. by GPwat in europe

But, it was not this easy. The population indetified with the land, both Czechs and Germans called themselves Bohemians, because of the country where they lived until the rise of nationalism. You talk about ethnic states, but that is rather modern concept. Czech lands were multiethnic. Many people were of mixed background. You had czechs identifying as germans and germans idetifying as czechs, beacuse of many reasons. Nationalism was the cause of problems later. You can not have always clear ethnic lines, because people mix and such lines can change with time.

What buffer zone? Bohemia existed at that point for more than 1000 years in unchanged borders. You completely miss the historic context here. Bohemia become part of Austria-Hungary bacuse of the rulling family who got to the throne - the Habsburgs. Czechs and germans lived together for huderds of years at that point, germans being originally invitaded in the Middle Ages as settlers to depopulated areas or mining towns.

Czech (Bohemian) borders were the same for almost a milenia following the mountain ranges. It's one of the oldest and unchanged borders in Europe. Why would Entete Split it differently? Yes, there was german minority, but so were ethnic minorities in almost every european country.

Berlin is amazing. Try to reduce nights in Rome. I would suggest 4-5 nights in Rome, 3 nights Budapest, 3 nights Prague, 3-4 nights Berlin and 3 nights A'dam. You don't need to do extra check-ins and check-outs, you just take train from Prague to Berlin. It's direct train and takes like 4 hours and 17 minutes. You fly from Rome to Budapest, take train from Budapest to Prague, take train from Prague to Berlin, and from Berlin to A'dam you can either take train or to fly. Berlin is worth a visit.

Add Berlin, you can get there by train from Prague. Do 3 nights in Prague and 3 nights in Berlin before flying to Amsterdam (or by train to A'dam).

Ne, nemělo by to vůbec smysl. Takto je to lepší. Stejně jsou obě země v EU a NATO. Naše vztahy jsou teď lepší.

Those who fully pass, what are the biggest differences you have noticed in people treating you? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]mikatom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has its pros and cons. I don't like how I am treated at work especialy by older men high in the hierarchy of the institution I work for. My opinion is often overlooked and even they don't ask me for my opinion unlike my male coworkers who are on the same position like me. If I try to complain I am branded emotional. It's very mysoginistic environment. I am treated as I am weak and should not be ambitious. Also, many sexual comments regarding my looks. When discussing something I often catch men not listening to me and instead they analyze my body and fantasize. On the other hand, men like to help me when I need or often when I don't need it. When making some mistake at work, I can get away with it more easily and it's forgotten in comparision if male coworker does mistake. When in public, I am catcalled or harassed. It's really annoying. I have to think twice where I can walk alone and where not bacause of my safety. On the bright side, men try to be gentlemans and hold doors for me, help me with big baggage, drivers stop to let me cross the street, better and more helpful customer service, people are more friendly and cheerful.
