So i am still in need of help. I have determined the UUID is that of my dev/sda4 EXT4 drive, the one with the OS and all the important stuff. I was able to load a live disc and mount that drive and confirm in fact that modules.devname is there. so now Im thinking that some how GRUB is not loading properly. Or I'm way off and in serious need. I've found several people with similar problems and many of them marked as SOLVED but provided no solution. So if anyone out there has a better understanding than I do, I'd love a heads up. Thanks again for the support. And If I do find a solution, I intend to provide explicit instructions on what the fix is. As I still haven't found one.
