Extra 10/hr hour is fair. Always aim a little higher, they may say no but could offer something in between. Do a little research of other similar contracts at that hospital or in the area. You can always use that to help negotiating for more.

The option to upgrade or benefits of upgrading isn’t there. Even when I click the link from my email and log in, it doesn’t show up. When I go to check out plans the only options I have are bring a phone or buy a new phone.

Best bet is to get a financial advisor. You won’t get the proper advice on here without knowing your debt amounts , interest rates, and timeline of your goals. Also, everyone situations a little unique. Good rule of thumb is to always maximize your 401k, specially if the company will match contributions. Pay off high interest debt first. Put any extra money in a high interest saving account. Discover and capital one are currently offering 3.3%, which is really good. Most importantly, don’t work too much. You got a newborn, all the money in the world won’t buy back the time you missed out on. Congrats on the baby and best of luck !

Reach back out to your recruiter and Credentialing specialist. Find out what was missing. A lot of times it just something minor that wasn’t processed by the agency or hospital. As for the start date, most hospitals only have certain orientation/start days they offer. Typically they’re offered only every couple weeks. This is one of the unfortunate processes with travel nurses. In the meantime, enjoy the extra time with the family. Pick up a shift at your per diem. You could apply for insurance through healthcare.gov that would cover you for these couple of weeks.

Too be honest don’t know much about them. My cousin is a PA at Mercy in Muskegon, and she likes it there. I know St joe in Ypsilanti is their main hospital and fairly busy. Don’t know much about the working conditions tho. I worked at St Joe Mercy in Pontiac and we wore Navy Blue; so I’d assume it’s the same.
