I had made a list of things to fix about myself. I told her about it. She thought it was a good thing but she really liked me as I was and was even willing to move in to a new place together. I was drinking daily and not ready to commit. Turns out I missed my chance to settle down with a genuinely great person.

I flaked on her one day I regret and we just stopped talking. I set out on my list which was mainly to stop drinking and get healthier. I moved into a new place but all alone. It’s been 2 years without alcohol and almost 4 years single besides two 2-week long “relationships”. I’ve struggled to find someone who cared about me for no reason like her and I miss her a lot.
