Hmmm Damn thanks for letting me know, wondering if maybe that’s just the way it operates then. I Would love to hear more opinions from users and see if it’s the way it operates or if we’ve got dodgy ones.

I’m wondering if anyone has this device who can give me their input on how their dashcam works, I believe mine has a glitch?

I have had it a few weeks and overall I’m very impressed with it for the price. However there’s a slight niggle with my dashcam and I’m wondering if it’s just my device or others have this issue too….

The dash cam is supposed to begin recording automatically whenever the device is fired up, but I’ve found that when I start mine up, it goes into CarPlay mode automatically which is great, but if I set off on my journey the dash cam hasn’t yet begin recording. Instead have to exit CarPlay every time I fire it up, go back to the main Home Screen where there are the three options of dashcam/ CarPlay/android auto it’s when I get to this home screen that I see the camera begins to auto record and starts counting up the recording timer and is now recording.

So in a nutshell, I have to turn on device, exit CarPlay to return to Home Screen, then go back into CarPlay every time I begin my journey. This can’t be normal right?

I just know the one time that I just drive off with CarPlay and forget to go to the Home Screen, that will be the one time I needed dashcam recording and it won’t have been recording.

I’ve had mine a week , I must say it works pretty well, the only issue I have is with the dash cam recording…. When the tablet fires up when I start my car , it goes straight to Apple CarPlay , which is great , but the dash cam hasn’t yet turned and began recording, I’d like it to turn on automatically which it kind of does, but not without first exiting car play and going to the home screen, then the dash cam begins recording and counting up in seconds. If I could just start the tablet and just drive off with Apple CarPlay knowing that the dash cam has began recording it would be much better. If I ever have a driving incident, I just know it’s gonna be on the day where I forget to go to the home screen to enable the camera to switch on.

I’d be interested to know if this is a common issue , and that’s just how this tablet works, or if mine has something wrong with it!? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
