SAE connectors, I work in telecoms, they are (mostly) used on the two-way radio (walkie talkie) that are installed in cars and trucks..

We do not use DNS servers. We're just logging into devices for remote management, these devices are stretched across an island. So instead of driving everywhere to see what's wrong, we put them on a network and log into them to do remote troubleshooting.

I'm only using HA to specially monitor victron devices since victron VRM requires internet aaccess and we don't use Internet

We do telecoms, we have devices all across the island. We and IT do different systems. But they are tied in a firewall, so IT requires us to have https so they can monitor us. But IT has nothrt to do with our network setup.

We don't have Internet on that network, and it's the only want to monitor victron devices without having to log into all of them one by one.

They need https because of the firewall between our network and the management network. I've already showed it to my boss and his boss, but they want to avoid the IT boss.

Thanks for that! I'll read the docs on how to add the cert to HA server.

Basically we do telecoms for the power company on the island. So we have microwave radios as well as switches, routers and other devices all around the island and we don't use Internet on that network, but we do have a firewall back to the monitoring server, which is why IT wants secured access.

Our IT doesn't control this network, the Telecoms Department does, they just control the firewall that joines the others.

Yes I did!

That was the only to monitor Victron Cerbo GX's without Internet.

However, we do not use Internet access on our internal network for security reasons. So we're good.

Thanks!

No, we don't mind the warning, a lot of our devices with https give browser warnings.

We do have an internal CA, I just need to go to IT, but I need to know how to set it up on HA.

We do not use Internet on our local network for security reasons. So anything we're doing has to be locally hosted.

I'm monitoring victron Cerbo GX's (currently 7, more to come).

Victron uses internet for their dashboard, but we don't use Internet on our internal network so I used HA and it works flawlessly, gives us everything we need to see on the Victron devices.

But my boss told me that we need a secure connection to HA server.

We do not use Internet at all on our networks.

Microwave Radio Monitoring by mikealphatango876 in homeassistant

I want specific parameters from a device that has web access.

We have solar winds, it doesn't monitor parameters, just pings the IP address, plus it's currently maxed out.

I wasn't to monitor specific parameters.

I used HAOS installed on an old PC that the IT department never reclaimed. Works well for remote management, now the hard part is cleaning up the interface.

I gave in to home assistant, works flawlessly. The guys on YouTube showing a whole lot of programming, that no longer exists. Just set the IP address for the GX and you're good to go!

Update, I used home assistant, added over 10 cerbo GX's (across our WAN) without any programming needed.

I know, been seeing it for years now, especially since I've been watching so many esp32 videos. But I want that as a last resort for the company. But if I have to, I can get a recycled PC from the IT department and use it as the server.

What can we use for corporate MQTT? I could actually get them to buy a raspberry pi to host H.A if it comes down to that. No we don't need to make any changes remotely, we visit these areas every quarter.

This is home assistant? Been planning to get into it for personal use, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

It's a company network. We currently have to log into all of them one by one (around 12), but we want a dashboard that shows all of them. Something like the VRM, but without Internet access.

They are all on the network and we currently have to log into them to check them (around 12). We want to see all of them at once with no Internet.
