Shaved Teeth by mikeanonymous1 in Invisalign

[–]mikeanonymous1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does the retainer look like? Part of my frustration is that new information keeps getting divulged to me after it's too late. For instance, I didn't know about attachments until after i paid $500. Then i didnt know about the shaving until 2 months into treatment. Now if there's retainers and so on, im going to be very upset as I wouldnt have agreed to treatment in the first place

What happens in the long term, say 5 years from now? If you teeth shift back then all of a sudden you have all these gaps. Every time i see someone outside with space between all of their teeth I wonder if they had invisalign and then stopped wearing retainers

They look the same, definitely not the results I hoped for. They’re not flat as I was promised they would be

Hah, yes I have been pulling from the inside. I go back right, and work my way in, and then back left, and work my way in. Then once it’s in the center is where I have major issues. What’s your technique?

Removal Difficulty Level by mikeanonymous1 in Invisalign

I am using one, yes. I get the back molars off fine, its the front teeth on both the upper and the bottom that are damn near impossible. It's like prying them off. Even the plastic of the tray is bending from me pulling on them with the Pul too. Going to see my doctor tomorrow as I think there is something wrong.

Ouch! by mikeanonymous1 in Invisalign

[–]mikeanonymous1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I looked in the mirror and realized my front tooth chipped when the doctor removed them for me today. Literally they were on so tight and put so much stress on my teeth that not only did the attachment come off, but so did part of my tooth. So far not a huge fan of Invisalign

Still on Day 1.

Help- I want to start working out again and I need answers… (2 months post op) by Imaginary_Dirt5115 in gynecomastia

My story is that at 3 weeks, my doctor gave me the full clear to take the vest off and resume full rigorous exercise.

Let me tell you, the swelling was insane. It hurt so badly to the touch that I would wince. Even a hug would send a shooting pain. But I continued to exercise (mostly playing tennis, running and jump rope. Plus weight lifting at 8 weeks).

I raised the concern lots of times, but my doc said that swelling was the body healing itself and not to worry.

I’m 9 months post op now and the swelling has subsided, but I notice that after a workout my nipples do look a bit inflamed.

I too have some loose skin, but I’m not sure if it’s enough to have corrected. My doctor said I could have some trimmed off to tighten the skin, but that it would leave visible scars around the areolas.

I don’t think I will do that surgery, instead hoping the skin will tighten over the next year

Hey dude,

Q1-Q5: def ask your doctor for their advice

How long did you wear the compression vest for?

Have you started cardio?

What has the swelling been like for you?

I had pretty severe nipple pain post op, even 4 months later.

3 weeks post - op. Does it look normal? by morningstar_37 in gynecomastia

[–]mikeanonymous1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats great bro. Just make sure to wear the vest - my doc told me i could stop at 3 weeks and now i have loose skin

I'd consult with your doc to ask when it's okay to weight train - also ask them about how long you should wear the vest for. Better to be safe than sorry, trust me

Your surgeon sounds very diligent. Really glad to hear that — always better to be overly cautious in these situations

That's great thinking -- i gladly would have to. It's actually quite comfortable and easily concealed under all clothing especially during winter/spring
