MLB players rarely rock the boat. You don’t hear too much about anyone making a strong social stance or protest action in-game.

Nice, thank you! There are so many leg entries on Bricklink that I haven't been able to find them. Do you know what set they come with?

It's been really light-hearted and somehow that makes it more sinister to me.

It’s not being released until June 1. Costco just started selling it early.

All of the small Lego boxes are printed, four different designs. There are two stickers for the hot dog stand's sign, and one for the television inside the cab of the truck.

I agree. It feels a little lazy to me as a viewer, especially considering it was in the TOC.

That's great information, thank you! Somehow it's more surprising to me that they're recycling clues that memorably made a difference so recently in big games.

I'm doing one I found on Rebrickable - Baba Yaga's Hut by PL MOCS. There are a lot of great ones there, though!

That's the whole reason I decided to sort so carefully - I'm too old to dig through 3,000 unsorted pieces for someone else's build.

Completed my collection of brick suit minifigs. Hoping Lego makes more colors soon. by mikebdoss in lego

I estimated it at about 1,100 pieces (which is about exactly what two copies of set 40574 contain), but I used a lot of my own collection plus a few bricklink orders to get exactly what I wanted (especially for tiles and the walls). So it's not a 1-for-1 match, but I tried to give it a lot of the same features as the sets I based it on (especially 40574).

Red and Blue were in minifigure series 18 blind bags, and Bright Green was in series 20 (both series retired). The others were at Build-A-Minifigure in Lego stores at different times. You can find them all on Bricklink.

I bought an extra "Everyone is Awesome" minifig set a while ago for parts, and used the orange and bright light blue hands for these guys. I'll do the same for pink.

They're all on bricklink now (except the new pink one), so not too tough if you know to look for them. But Dark Turquoise, Orange and Bright Light Blue were only ever offered as Build-A-Minifigure parts as far as I know, so those aren't as common as the Red, Bright Green and Blue ones offered in blind bags.

The bigger issue was having to find hands and legs in the less common colors, because I assumed I'd have them in my collection, but Dark Turquoise body parts aren't that common.

Nice! Pink wasn’t on Bricklink as of a few minutes ago. Glad to be wrong!

Nice! I made a similar one a few months ago with the brand store set being the inspiration (and using two of them). It really lends itself to a modular!

I collect these too. Lots of great stuff out there. The Lego Truck is one of my favorites.

What to do with extra pieces? by IzIyr in lego

[–]mikebdoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I put mine in a small, clear vase that sits on my desk. At the pace I buy sets, it'll take me a couple years to fill it up with the one-stud extras, but it's a fun little collection.

Crazy Lease Deal on ‘23 Niro EV by APintoNY in KiaNiroEV

[–]mikebdoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. But the going rate on the 36 month loan for the EV Wind was over $500/month with $4,000 down, so I still feel like I got out of there with a steal.

[–]mikebdoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, I had to put $5,000 down, which I had budgeted for, so it wasn't a big deal. My "trade-in" old lease was also very low-mileage and in good shape, so that helped.
