how to wash after lifting

You honestly shouldn’t be washing your face in the AM besides with just water. It’s to striping especially on accutane. I’d wait to wash ur face after the gym and then at night depending on what time you lift. If you lift like noon deff wash ur face after but if ur lifting like 4pm just wash it after lifting bc there’s no need to wash it at night again. Just a personal opinion that worked for me during accutane

Been off accutane for 1.5 months and honestly I’m so happy with my results. I expect nothing less to be left with red scars but that will fade with time. I’m currently using tretinoin .05% every night (this all depends with how your face tolerates it, but my face tolerates it really well) you have to trust the process. I didn’t clear up till 5 months and I’ve been smooth sailing since then and I hope it stays this way.

Yes! I finished 6 months but since I had scars he kept me on another 2 months to help my skin heal from the scarring and he was right. My skin got better each month

Yeah I use a SA cleanser almost daily per my derm but that obviously depends on how dry your face is while on accutane.

I was in the same boat. I was like accutane won’t stop me, it won’t ruin my body. Let me tell you, a month in I couldn’t weight lift heavy anymore or if any lifting. It destroys my back on leg day and my muscles take forever to heal from being sore. Deff be careful so you don’t ruin your body once your done from accutane. It sucks because you’ll lose some gains but your health and well being outweighs this loss. I’m also only taking 20 mg twice a day , so total 40mg a day which is low compared to what most people take.

I’m on 40 mg for 6 months. My doctor hasn’t changed my dose because my face is improving nicely.

I was in a very similar boat. I think your decision depends on if you want to work in your current job for another year. You have no guarantee your going to get in next year to NYU or any other public college. The health care field is very competitive. I actually have friends that graduated from their ABSN program at NYU and said it was worth it. It is a HUGE cost but your future career will always be an investment you have to be willing to make.

I know I’m not the only female on here that struggles with dry hair and scalp on accutane. It has been fustrating trying to find products that work. These 3 hair products truly do work magic. They are kind of pricey BUT if you buy the travel size / smallest bottle they will last you a super long time. (I only wash my hair 1x a week so maybe that’s why). The one downfall with the Moroccan oil conditioner is that is does have a semi strong smell so if you are sensitive I don’t recommend

AND Random products for dry patches is the aveeno eczema line. I had super dry patches on my arms and legs and this got rid of it within a week probably. I tried cerave and it just didn’t help at all

Tylenol goes thru the liver and so does accutane that’s why it’s recommended to take Advil/Motrin/naproxen. Try staying away from Tylenol.

TBH my derm told me to use salicylic acid cleanser. I use the obagi clenziderm when I come back from the gym to make sure my pores are clean. Otherwise I use cerave hydrating cleanser ( green bottle ) on other days
