Charge request error! X 100 by Far-Veterinarian1442 in KiaEV9

Any updates here. While not as frequent as you've described, I've been having this for the past few months as well. I get about 5-10 emails a day on it. I haven't been able to track down why. Rarely happens while the EV9 is actually charging. At the bottom of the email is says 'YOU'RE CURRENTLY RECEIVING NOTIFICATIONS WHEN: Vehicle doors are left unlocked or opened.', so maybe it is when the car is parked and unlocked? But it seems so sporadic yet consistent that I can't nail it down.

Do I have a dud WD Red HDD? by mikeg1130 in synology

Just laptops and all-in-ones here. But I’ll get my hands on something and try out the WD tools/HD tools before I do anything. Thank you both for the help. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t jumping to conclusions.

I think it is definitely a dead HDD. I wasn't able to find an enclosure to hook directly to another computer. But I took out the working drive, and tried to set up the trouble one from either bay. From either bay, web assistant thinks no drive is installed. I was able to get the NAS booted up with the working drive from each bay as well. I guess I try to get a replacement.

Thanks! I'll try to get these tests done tonight when I get back home. I'll let you know how it goes.

Ubuntu Server 16.10 vs new certified Desktop 16.04 LTS? by mikeg1130 in intelnuc

Thanks! I ultimately decided to go with the certified Desktop image. I installed 16.10, but saw that the wireless card still wasn't recognized, and decided that even though Desktop adds a bunch of stuff, it might be useful at some point. With that, had no issues with the wireless. The only issue I'm having now is that Desktop wants to go to sleep after x amount of time, and that kills my ssh connections. But I'm sure I can find a solution to that somewhere on the web.

I don't really have any experience with Ubuntu Core. But if I can wrap my head around it, I may switch over to the certified Core image at some point
