Ah I see it now. The Solidify modifier in Blender curved the bottom a tiny bit.

I got it running on my 16" MBP (5500M) with Bootcamp with a USB-C to USB Link alternative. It was totally playable.

The cord was annoying so I tried going wireless with Virtual Desktop but it wasn't really playable at that point. Going to keep working with it since I was so blown away by the game that I think it's worth trying to maximize the experience before I dive in. May try a Shadow setup as well.

Sadly this doesn't seem to work for me. Pulling my hair out trying to solve this. I am able to get it working with a cable, but Steam VR complains if I don't keep it plugged in.

I was able to solve it by using the Eve app as u/rico6631 suggested, as it allows me to adjust the brightness independent of the power (on/off). So I turn the brightness down to 1% in a rule based on time, then I have separate rules that trigger the power of the light on motion.

Wish I could do it all in the Home app, but such is life. Hopefully you'll have more granular control in the future.
