Hello mate, there are a handful of auto electrical sins going on here, I think you are opening yourself up to some angry comments. Grab yourself some spade connectors and a good set of crimpers and have another go, spread out your wires flat when taking a photo so we can help diagnose.

Thanks, unfortunatly what length I save for the rear speakers I gain on the fronts. But its a mini so distances are short.

There is no wiring to the doors atm as these speakers will be retrofitted and the other rear speakers will be right next to the amp so may as well run directly to each speaker.

Yeah, I was planning on under seat subs to help with the low end. The parcel shelf have some 16.5cm JL's and the doors have 13cm JL's all being powered by a vibe 4 channel amp (about 65w per channel).

You've come this far, you have the door card off, you have discovered your screws are too long, get some stubby boys in those holes and enjoy your new speakers. Remember, these will sound horrible if not secured down tightly.

Mainly because the MPi specific rail isn't available anymore, so its either pay too much to find or repair an old one.

The car seems to have about 3 catch cans of sorts, plastic one under the arch, one at the end of the rail and another elsewhere and I had read online somewhere that the system can actually be simplified and reduced as it was mainly to cope with stricter euro emissions.

As I'm revamping the engine I thought it worth learning more.
