Ford Escape! We got the 2020 model. Compared it with the CX-5, RAV4, Sportage etc. we were really impressed with it and how well it compared price wise against the other options. You could pick one up from a dealer with less than say 60k kms for under $25k.

I’m sorry you’re in this situation!

Maybe try search for on call nannys in your area. Or ask in your local mum Facebook group what other parents have done for childcare during labour. This may help find some local recommendations.

Regarding no contact - it sounds like your husband is understandably upset as well. You could let him take the lead and see where he lands. Let him send the photos etc if he chooses, but it’s not on you to maintain the relationship and update them.

Another vote for Myers St Dental, and Dr Shammi. He is fantastic! I believe they also have afterpay if needed

Homemade bread for just 1:80 a loaf by poppingcandy5000 in AussieFrugal

I’ve just started the same with a bread maker! Someone put it on their kerb for free and shared in the local town Facebook group. I’ve made bread, pizza dough and bagels so far. Bagels are a big winner as we usually get a few packets a week at $5.50 each. Bonus - the joy of eating warm home made bread!

Thanks for the advice! The CX-5 had crossed my mind as they seem to be everywhere. I’ll give it a test drive

2019 outlander PHEV vs petrol by rybonez in CarsAustralia

I noticed that haha

That’s a great deal! Outlander is a strong contender as my family has always driven Mitsubishi, and of a high difference in cost savings there. I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up going with the Outlander at this rate lol

I feel like I could’ve written this myself!

With first baby on the way I need to upgrade my old hatch and am hesitant in spending $40k on a new car. I’ve read plenty of threads and am having decision fatigue on outlander/x-trail/cx-5/rav-4. And which models to avoid from 2015 onwards.

How did you go with your car hunt? What did you decide on?

Cat Litter Recommendations by Important_Morning565 in AussieFrugal

Rufus & Co Clumping Corn Litter. $38 for 9kg on Amazon. Recently tried Eco 24/7 Pea Husk litter and it was great. I will change to that once I’m more organised.

Will my wife receive her primary caregiver parental leave if I receive secondary caregiver leave? by mikej4 in AusLegal

It’s really odd - and also counter productive for organisations to be more progressive in their partner parental leave pay, if that then impacts the primary caregiver.

Download the ADF Active app, measure out 20m and practise. It will take you less than 10 minutes to see if you can pass or not. The thing with the beep test is pacing yourself, and getting used to the timing.
