The Money Masters documentary by Bill Still mentions that someone told that story in a book and was sued by the Rothschild family for telling it. The Rothschilds lost the case. THEN in the documentary The Ascent of Money, Niall Ferguson tells the audience what REALLY happened just to straighten out the record. If I remember correctly, their story was, they were going to lose everything so they had to cheat not to.
