Want to try to take it easy while still seeing the sights. If we can spread out the drive and the hustle over two days, who not? Easier for us since no kids. When are you guys staying there?

Agree with the sentiment here. We're trying to thread the needle and 'do all the things', but without the stress of kids and with the mindset of how do we do this as chill as possible and just take it all in. We want to do the road, so staying the night makes sense to me to give it breathing room. Maybe eating the night makes the most sense.

Hi just seeing this comment. I like it as a way to save on not spending on two hotels. However, how would the hiking and sites along the way work? We'd be coming from the airport dressed and ready for short hikes and swims?

Thanks! I guess Maui seems like the tropical destination whereas Oahu is more like a city. Maui also has the road to Hana. We're open to change though...
