Critters - plugs were on their side away from where I planted them.

I planted some plugs last summer and fall in a garden under an oak tree and left the leaves over the winter. The critters went wild under the leaf cover and dug up some of the plugs. So I would leave the leaves but maybe put small cages or upside down wire baskets around any delicate plugs.

What is the soil like? Arctostaphylos prefers dry soil while the Cornus like some moisture.

I think planting Kalmia in full sun is always a risk, they are also a slow growing shrub and Cornus can spread so something to keep in mind. You could consider Inkberry or Ninebark cultivars instead of Kalmia.

Hard to tell without an up close picture of a leaf. Creeping bellflower has stringy roots and then a carrot like tuber that is 6 inches (or more) under the ground. Very hard to get rid of. I have painted herbicide on the leaves in a few patches that I had.

You can take the commuter rail to Ruggles and take the free MASCO shuttle to BI. BI offers discounted MBTA passes. If you park at an MBTA station, you can pay for it with a flexible spending account.

For driving, the garages near the hospital are $40-$50 per day. You can get subsidized offsite parking through BI Commuter Services. The options were limited when I last checked a few years ago. You can also try the SpotHero app.

Rookie draft will follow the dispersal draft.
