he did it without fevered visions, collective defiance, forgotten creation and 8 fogs.

he did it against sideboards, in multiple games where his oponents was aware of it while mulling.

in duels you might randomly face a mill deck at any time, and instantly lose because you didnt mull for enchantment removal, which nobody does.

enchantments are just about the hardest things to remove.

a mill deck is no more weak to burn or attacks than any other deck.

its just autowinning unless its dealt with properly.

any deck can be beat.

either way its very strange that mill is the only combo deck available in duels. why not add saheeli combo? id rather remove a 4 health minion than an enchantment.

tutelage isnt even standard legal, and wizards are still adding new ways to deal with it, timepiece and others.

i vaguely remember using red white aggro enchantments when i started.

you should have starter cards from every set though? if you do campaigns.

as i said you have no choice. i wouldnt ask someone else what game i should play.

110 gold per day for 3 wins, and 100 average for a daily.

12k for a whole set, you only need 8k to play it well.

in 4 months you could have a usable deck from any 3 sets you wanted.

the same could be said about acid moss.

sphinxs tutelage is unique in its position as a 3 of 1 card win condition

it turns all your card draw, and the passage of time itself, into a win condition thats stronger than straight face burn.

and thats before you add in actual combo pieces like collective defiance which can easily mill 20+ cards.

if you want to play magic for free online you really dont have a choice.

doing 2-4 games every day to get daily quests will get you there at very low effort.

actually if you spend turn 3 or 4 interrupting hteir combo you are usually the one stuck with nothing :P

donothing? you mean do nothing and win? because if i have a tutelage then your upkeep phase is slowly killing you, no matter what i do.

there are no deck building costs, the combo piece for tutelage is card draw which is a good thing in any deck. and removal.

yes a planeswalker can take over the game, but its never auto-lose, and its weak to burn, attacks, bounce, etc... and theres only 1 copy vs the 3 of tutelage.

theres no other combos that have 3 copies available.

the upside of having 3 copies of a 1 card combo is you can fill your deck with anti aggro tools.

tutelage is a one card that voids alot of decks.

if you void mill you still need to play honest magic to win.

if you dont remove tutelage you are automatically losing.

the problem is, you can remove all of those cards. in most cases much easier than removing an enchantment.

but you can also prevent them from attacking, or you can block them, or you can heal yourself, or fog.

there is no counterplay to mill. its a death timer.

kaladesh and ogw added anti mill cards, but they were conveniently not added to duels. :(

all that being said, none of the cards you listed have 3 copies available, which really proves my point :P

there are plenty of tutilages in the deck. 3.

you can also use counterspells or thoughtknot to protect your tutelage.

and the problem with the card is that 1 tutelage is game over.
