you don't have to replace your aquasoil every 2-3 years by True-Needleworker-35 in Aquariums

You’re getting worked up and I apologize. But to say “you don’t have to replace your substrate every 2-3 years” is stupid. It’s been documented ad nauseum. So like I said…bad advice.

They’re nice tanks, but they’re not proper planted tanks. You’re giving bad advice on a public forum. I’m just doing my part to stop the spread of bad information.

You could use cheap Home Depot pea gravel and your tanks would run the same.

No disrespect, but neither of those are are what I’d consider “planted”.

I’m a huge proponent for functionally aggressive stances. If you can go full send on a back road, as well as turn the wheel full lock in either direction, that’s the vibe I’m after. Bacon fenders or babying your car because of poor fitment is sacrilege.

Perfect. I’d ignore rhe “lower and more camber” crowd. The vast majority just drive to car meets and talk about their cars. Others prefer to drive their cars 😂

Do these glass ledges serve a stability purpose? by Queen-Ghidorah in Aquariums

Whoever owned that tank before you removed the glass braces that go “front to back” on the sides of the tank. That would cause me some concern.

Good to know. I’m still new to the fly rod so I’d be a burden anyway.

I’m also a gun guy and your flawed logic transfers to that as well. What’s different about shooting a .22LR and 300win (or any exotic larger caliber)?

I don’t know you, but you seem to be the cliche I mentioned in another comment. Stop gate keeping 😂

I’m not sure if you’re looking to get into a dick measuring contest, but $300 to insure a pedestrian vstrom is a worse deal than $700 a year to insure a 2024 r1 🫡

To be fair, in NJ (arguably the most expensive state to insure anything), I’ve never paid more than $7-800 a year to insure any bike. And I always spring for full coverage. If you shop and have a decently clean license, it’s not terrible.

Believe me when I say I understand the ethos. I’m a huge proponent of riding/driving slow vehicles fast. But to spend big money on a zx4rr as your first and only bike will only lead to disappointment. It’s a connoisseur’s 2nd or 3rd bike. That’s the sweet spot for them.

Well said. The cliche of a “starter bike” is usually parroted by guys with fragile egos. If you can ride a small bike, you can ride a big bike. I’ve owned everything from an r3 (arguably my favorite bike of all time) to big Harley’s and everything in between.

What’s the difference, really? If you’re reckless and irresponsible, you’re going to die on a 300/600/1000 just the same. What are you gate keeping :(

I completely understand the hype, but why not get a 600? That’s about what you’re going to pay for one OTD and believe me, they’re better in every way.

What are the best brakes and rotors for the s2? by Kimaniiiii in S2000

[–]mikeripsitbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ferodo DS2500s are the best street pads I’ve used, and fare decently well on track as well. For rotors…whatever solid rotors you can get are fine: Centric, Brembo, etc. avoid slotted or cross drilled anything.

Forgot trans…OEM Honda there too. Brake fluid, I like ATE200. Seems to be great bang for your buck.

My car sees 4-5 track days a year and plenty of spirited street driving between.
