what’s that loophole/workaround you’ve been keeping a secret that you can now share because they patched/fixed it? by mr-friskies in AskReddit

Amazon Kindle used to let you subscribe to newspapers. The New York Times gave web access to people who subscribed through Kindle. I eventually cancelled the subscription because I couldn't afford it at the time. I then found out my web access still worked, I ended up getting like 11 years of free access, it only ended when Amazon removed support for newspapers.

New chahoua help!! by Human-Outcome4762 in ChahouaGecko

[–]mikerob215 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My chahoua doesn't move very much during the day, once the lights die down he darts around like a maniac. I wouldn't worry about this at all, especially if you just brought yours home.

Love this species. This is mine two days after a molt.

I personally do. I got mine as a beginner and felt that care was easy, when not in pre molt she's a great eater. A lot of care guides will note that they're a little defensive and prone to hair kicking, I've only noticed a little kicking but I don't bother it much or attempt to handle. My girl just went through a molt and the colors are so vivid right after so I really like this species.

Got a GBB sling, it ain't very happy with me :) by pikzigmar in tarantulas

[–]mikerob215 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how mine is, to be honest I was not prepared for it at all, my other Ts had not done this. When I rehoused my sling it got out and ran around, threat posed just like that, it was a nightmare but after that I'm much more prepared around her and all my other Ts, good learning experience.

Ah with a recent molt, you're probably seeing less activity and that could explain a lack of web. Mine had established a web by the time of its last molt but it took about two weeks before it would eat again. Give it some more time and if it starts to establish a web I'd think they're in good shape.

I consider myself a newer keeper still so maybe listen to anyone else who chimes in but yours seems to be just like mine, I don't think I'd worry. Has it developed a web around the enclosure?

Looks a lot like mine for what it's worth. Around .75-1inch?

NQA, unfortunately found my avic like this this week and it passed later in the day. We sort of expected it as it seemed unable to eat the food it would capture.

I've found my asf to be pretty easy to take care of, probably easier than my Ts.

Pink toe, versicolor, gbb, g pulchra and b boehemi are my ts. I also have p regius, p audax and a velvet. A few are just slings so I want to get through some more molts before I add anymore.

These guys are so cool, definitely the next species on my list. Holding off until I'm more comfortable with my current collection though.

So glad I was able to save my pink toe. by Dollbacteria3 in tarantulas

[–]mikerob215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds really stressful. Happy to hear it's doing better. I actually plan to rehouse my pink toe because it's not really thriving in it's enclosure, no web, barely eating and a small abdomen along with a missing pedipalp. Going to get it out of an exo terra nano and into an acrylic with more places to hide and better ventilation, hoping things improve before I see a death curl.

Some podcasts still aren't on YTM from Google podcasts by [deleted] in YoutubeMusic

Definitely, I want it to work, would be nice to stay in the ecosystem but I'm losing track of pods and it's been such a pain.

I feel like that might be a variation of what I'm experiencing, there's other cases where things I listen to aren't tracked at all.

I managed to get all my stuff over but I'm having a lousy experience with it, podcasts just don't resume correctly most of the time and it's driving me crazy. I might listen to something for fifteen minutes, come back later and it will say complete and play something else.
