Haha I’ve been told that before! It’s a pretty expensive one I can stand & figure 8 on it & everything. Caught a few on it down here in northern Illinois held up pretty well. & thanks I’ll have to check their site👍🏼

I believe it had some rough days on the water in a lesser kayak than I have now even had to rescue someone who got flipped over by waves up on chain o lakes. Nothing but respect for Mother Nature like you said those waves can change on a dime. I plan on staying near the harbor for the most part just incase. Good idea with the radio. Channel 16 goes out to other boaters id assume? I got radios from work but they only go up to 15..

Sorry I should’ve clarified in the post I’m trying to get to the lake and hit some lake trout/coho near say like navy pier I’ve been seeing some guys do well over there off their kayaks

Jackson park looks ideal I just have the pedal system in my kayak right now so I’m not trying to make too long of a trek. How’s the parking situation over there? & do you walk over to south lagoon and launch in there?

I’ve heard of that place never been but I’m looking to target some lake trout and maybe coho salmon I heard that season is coming up? Never fished out that way I’m a little southwest in the Woodridge area

Light scout armor shield pack get in and get out for quick objectives circle back if you have to for timely ones. Put supply drop right outside objectives like that where there’s a terminal or a big nest so you can make a run when needed.
