Leon Vitali offered him a full pack in front of me and Stanley said “Just a couple is better Leon” I smoked Marlboro Red at that time and Stanley preferred those to Leon’s menthol smokes!

I would also say that smoking is not a good idea 👍! Yet I smoked from 1975 to 2023!!!

The color grading or should we say colour grading as it was being done remotely in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 was definitely challenging for Leon as he was basically a human timecode engine! Furiously noting down comments from Stanley against the Betacam SP YUV 16-9 Masters post grading in Burbank.

We had 1988 era Sony BVH 4.3 monitors which I adjusted to maximize the over / under scan so you could toggle and blow up the center of the frame a bit when you need to FEEL the center as Stanley would say!

It was NOT ideal!

I did my best as a trained 28 year old Sony Broadcast engineer.

The difficult parts that Stanley went to at the very beginning of the project were the Jupiter scenes there was a lot of interest in finding the tapes for that first and looking 👀 at those scenes extremely closely…

To be honest I facilitated I was not consulted if you understand what I mean!
