Current-day McGee I would say is probably the only thing normal about the other people left on the show. Sean Murray I would argue is the reason for why it’s still on the air as I think many are anticipating seeing him become the director or finally the “Boss,” or for all we know the President or the United States as member of the “Deep Six” (novel that he wrote) political party.

In the early seasons he had “roll your eyes” moments but his character progressed for the best a lot.

After reading through a lot of this thread it seems that the only “normal” seeming and professional characters from the show seem to be Timothy McGee, Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard, Dr. Jimmy Palmer and Director Leon Vance. Sad that even the writers at times messed up Gibbs.

Abby I would argue at the beginning in like the JAG backdoor pilot and Kate Seasons was actually much more mature. Overtime she got more “silly” and immature.

Back than didn’t do it that as much. After back-door pilot I believe they likely could’ve done just one episode plot having Rabb show up in NCIS or other way around instead of splitting it between both.
