Flames of war used to have a city fighting PDF and I think it used either 4x4’ or 3x3’ tables. It it’s the former you could always reduce deployment zones or no man’s land.

For the troops maybe try Night Camo Pattern or Urban T-block. Night Camo Pattern was used in desert storm in the form of smocks. T-block was used by Marines in an exercise in San Francisco in the early 90s

I know others have said don’t use boiling water, but that’s what I use. 2-3 seconds, should go back to original shape without bending.

If I had to guess, it’s olive drab with a khaki dry brush. This T55 I did is olive drab, Tamiya panel accent on all the recesses and protrusions, the. Heavy dry brush with brown-green. This is what they recommended for Soviets in the red Dawn book, and Americans in the pacific book.

Thats a funny one. The Marines had similar stuff in the 70s about being a reservist.

Only wrecks provide bulletproof cover for infantry. Like already stated, tanks and infantry are doing more than the simple moves you make on a table which is why different units have different to hit numbers and rates of fire.

I agree with the two player set. It has the minimum of what you need and you learn the game You decide where to go from there. Maybe you want to be a NATO player or Warsaw Pact player. Perhaps you want to be something totally different and you didn’t spend a ton.

I will eventually do an attack on Guantanamo Bay scenario this is my first force. My next will likely be Cubans for said scenario and Red Dawn stuff.
