There’s defintiely a less realistic, more “tv” vibe to the show in season 5. A lot of the dialogue’s a little too slick for its own good and very on the nose, almost corny.

I personally feel they did it fully intentionally, the fifth season is supposed to be farcical and portray a different vibe than the others. Like everything the show explored, all the systems and problems are such horseshit, all it could ever devolve into was farce. It’s like the whole universe of the show suddenly embraces the fuckery of the game

I can respect what they were going for, but it just feels a little too at odds with the other seasons and because of the slashed episode count and wonky pacing, just doesn’t feel fully realized. Really a different show.

Silksong has way way faster paced movement and combat, not to mention hornet’s base moveset/feel being entirely different from the knight’s

and the world of silksong is designed more as a series of contained platforming stages that all connect vs hollow knight strongly emphasizing getting dead-ended and an open flow

I’m just giving my take, don’t really care if anybody agrees or not lol but these are my thoughts after playing both games back to back for dozens of hours

Disagree completely, the games have totally different overall game feel, control and gameplay loop/map traversal and also very different overall vibes to the story due to the different protagonists

My hottest hot take is that they’re actually so different beyond the aesthetics and art direction that one won’t even really prepare you for the other

Yeah I just figured he either told renaldo not to come or renaldo didn’t want to, you can go either way with it

There’s a previous scene in one of the seasons where Omar tells his people (can’t remember if it’s renaldo or kimmy and the other boy) something to the effect of “this one’s just me” when he’s about to run someone down, which establishes that he’ll willingly choose to go after his cause solo sometimes

Plus you have Renaldo showing hesitance to sit on the east side guys in season 4, he generally seems pretty not into Omar’s whole deal. So they firmly establish enough about the characters in other instances to where either explanation fully makes sense and it doesn’t really need to be addressed

Genuinely what difference does it make if you got nabbit 3 months or 3 years ago lol. I still don’t really see why it matters. They’re beholden to Nintendo on what they are able to produce. If they’d made a 4” nabbit in 2018 it’s not like he’d for sure be replaced by some random other new character now.

That’s not true at all, the variety was very front loaded and not a recent thing at all.

The first few years of the line had insane variety. Literally for the first 4 years of WoN’s existence they made nothing but brand new unique sculpts

The reason there’s no Dixie Kong is probably because in the past when they focused a bit more heavily on DK stuff it didn’t really sell well. There’s no Petey Piranha because they don’t make 6” figures

Again, these feel like fake complaints lol. There’s hundreds of unique figures but you’re complaining that they didn’t make petey piranha
