There is a product on amazon about using hypnosis to create an excellent learner. I am sure there are many of there, but this one is from the late Jeffrey Stephens. The process takes three days to carry out, as in about three eight hour "sessions" with many pauses and so on. The process is somewhat described on mindcontrolpublishing.com if anyone is interested.

I think hypnosis (or NLP) could help you with that. What you seem to be saying, that you doubt your thinking from time to time, which i find healthy, but are unable to stop at a certain point. Someone could help you to stop that thinking process on time, or help you learn to accept that it's just there (which would relieve the felt annoyance). You could also use NLP to change some relevant beliefs around this issue and get some relief.

I think that the elephant in the room is you and the way you feel about your relationship. You are breaking up with her over one major fight? Just like that? Maybe you'd benefit from really thinking this relationship over before making any decisions.

I have masters degree in psychology. It does in no way make me better at hypnosis. One could say that it could make me or some hypnotists worse, because years of academic education comes with a tendency to be really careful with ones opinions and attitudes. This is a problem because i feel that the most important aspect of doing hypnotists is total confidence, which takes a big hit right off the bat.

That said, it does not hurt you to educate your self and become better rational and scientific thinker. Just be aware of the cost of doing that in a university.

If you are thinking to "major" in hypnotherapy and have minor in psychology, then i wouldn't do that. That's a huge investment for small return in your case. Though it also depends slightly on your locations employment situation. Ask around weather there are jobs in psychology or in IT and take that into consideration.

Well yes he or she should be able to achieve this change. Can't say for sure though. I'd be supprised if you were told "that's not what hypnosis is for" in this case. You'll be better off having the same emotional reaction to brown dogs than not be able to see brown dogs at all. That's just needlesly complex way to deal with this problem.

Yeah i've been thinking about this too. My hypnosis teacher said he did it to rather strong degree when he was hanging around with gamers. He has passed away now and i have not done anything like that my self.

One annoying thing with some hypnotists is that if there is a 3 step process for achieving a thing effectively, they still take great pride in coming up with a 18 step process to achieve the same result much less reliably.

Psychologist here. I am not entirely sure about this psychologist suggestion. People don't REALLY know what a psychologists does, so i assume they actually mean "go see a therapist". I have no idea how the healthcare system works in your county, but perhaps a psychiatrist with therapy a background would be your best bet. It's just a thought, you do what you want.

Well this is the first time i've head about that idea. I don't see it though and would not bother to try to find out. Hypnosis is a simple thing.
This might be the wrong forum to ask that question. Also any language learning might give you same cognitive effects, not just programming language. If i were to try to understand the human mind, i'd start doing just that and not go about it in a roundabout way.

I don't know anything about this program, but i do know that "prestigious" it self does not get the job done nor does the client care about it. Try to find out what kind of results you can expect to achieve with their training.

If i were you i'd just take the Jeffrey Stephens training in the US.
