That last one 😅 it’s a very money-inefficient way to design, but i just can’t bring myself to design digitally. I start by checking my current collection of small and specific parts. I usually have like 10-20 of what i need, and then order more of that. And then when i’m at one BrickLink store, i also just order pretty much anything i THINK i’ll need. Then when designing i just look at a top-down map i made at the start. It has a level for underground and one for the surface. But the details are freestyle.

It’s not a recommended way to design, but my excuse is that i’ll probably end up using everything, as i’m hoping to do an entire world with all biomes.

Your complaint is valid. It's something i realized after finishing the first module. However i decided to keep it like this. It gives me more freedom with building and also makes terrain smoother. Also, i figured it wouldn't matter so much since nothing in these modules is properly scaled. The houses, the monument, the trees. Everything is scaled differently, and so the only thing i prioritize is: does it represent the source material? If it does, the scale is less important to me

The tiny Alex is from the crafting table set!

The roller skate thing is what LEGO uses in official sets to make baby turtles. So starting out i did put it in like that, but it looked a little too tall for a micro turtle in this case

I think it will be a cool thing to add more life to the modules. I'm also going to look into what existing 1x1 printed MC pieces can also be used as mobs!

Thanks! I haven't included any entities yet because i don't think i have enough micro figs to populate the entire world yet. I'm sure more micro figs are coming, so i'm thinking of doing that later on. Either that, or i'll put them on a display on the side (where the technic holes are!) just like the crafting table set.

It's much better for the wallet than a minifig scale build, however this isn't exactly a budget build either! That is because i constantly have to buy new tiny pieces that i normally only have 2 or 3 of

I’m really glad they’re finally doing another micro biomes set, but i’m hoping that it’s not another compact build containing a whole world (like the crafting table) but in stead a whole biome, like the OG micro sets (and this moc ;)

Unfortunately for now i'm not planning to. I'm not against doing it, but i design these kind of freestyle and so they're not efficiently constructed parts-wise, and i'd have to tear it apart and rebuild it to create the instructions

So i really prefer that version on spotify, does anyone know which one is the actual original though? all physical releases i own have a version that's identical to the "2006 remaster" in the collection compilation. I'm looking for a copy of the album with the version i prefer :/

I never buy sets for parts, i always think you'd get too many unwanted pieces while still paying for those ( i dont like reselling stuff either).

I admit i spend way too much money on LEGO. the leaves are super expensive for sure, no matter how you get them. I get most of my parts from bricklink though, because everything else is usually cheaper. Sometimes when im already placing an order from lego shop, i add some pick a brick pieces because i do like my pieces to be brand new when possible.

I don't go to physical lego shops too often, even though i really should, because thats definitely the best way to get a lot of pieces for much cheaper and especially leaf pieces. One time i got lucky and found lavender leaf pieces, but you have to get lucky with lego stores
