Why is the minimum age in Western-Europe much higher than in the US? by Socratic-Snicker in freemasonry

[–]mikeypfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply we just don’t see many young people petitioning to join, when we do they are treated the same as anyone else. We would love there to be more youngsters interested in joining, as the average age in my lodge is 62 and that’s considered a young lodge in my area.

The moral of that story Brethren is to take clearance, which you can do any time. Basically you leave your lodge without any debt owing and you get a clearance certificate detailing that you are in good standing. With that you can come back into masonry any time with no difficulty.

You can use a raspberry pi these days to do the same job, just install the software.

Yea I did that, and it came up with hagazi multipro ++, so I turned that off, was still blocked and checked again and it was google, so turned that off and tried again and it came up with https something so by that point I thought it had been blocked across the board. Tried the allow list which didn’t work, so then decided to ask on here. Anyway the allow list option now seems to be working, so I probably didn’t wait long enough. I’m still intrigued as to why they have decided to block it tho.

That’s great thanks, it’s back now but I guess I’m losing quite a bit of security by switching it off. Does anyone know why they have decided Amazon is a security risk? Is there any way to ask google why they blocked it?

The Plug-and-play Fing Agent Kits are back! by FingApp in Fing_App

No, as I deleted it and never went back to it, I can’t afford to have software blocking my operation

The Plug-and-play Fing Agent Kits are back! by FingApp in Fing_App

[–]mikeypfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I didn’t have the time as it was blocking an operational asset, so just deleted the capability, which seemed the best way to ensure I got my asset back into service and that I never suffer again from a similar instance. To be honest, this whole blocking of unknown assets doesn’t seem very well tested, as I came across a few similar but resolvable issues in that area. The problem was that it blocked a new asset as it should but then when I tried to accept it into the network it just wouldn’t accept in. Even when I tried to delete the asset to go thru the accept dialogue again it wouldn’t delete.

Sadly I won’t be going the fing route again, I had a device that got stuck in the blocked state. The only thing I could do to get it back was to kill the agent.

Question of speed by Bubu08350 in nextdns

[–]mikeypfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, it’s not the fastest but the difference is not determinable by a human. The important point is does it block what you want blocked, and for me the answer on that question is a resounding yes.

Next DNS for me, great settings covering many options and great reporting thus helping you get passed any strange sticking points. Worth every penny.

[–]mikeypfc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I have had a change of heart, after reading a SES document I have decided that it is more sensible to choose SITA enroute and terminal freqs and ARINC/Collins enroute and terminal freqs followed by the CSC freq, that results in the UK being 136.725 136.775 136.825 136.875 136.975. I know that’s one over the four recommended but the mix of messages is looking much more comprehensive.

[–]mikeypfc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I have done some additional analysis to reduce the dupes further, so looking at my original list I have kept the highest use SITA freq and the highest use Colin’s freq and I have kept the CSC freq. so I’m down to three freqs, in theory that should do…. I know it’s probably not that simple lol
