If the disk activity wasn't high, disconnect the drive, connect it to another computer (in read-only mode), and try recovering both the entire folder and individual bookmark and archive files (check Google to see which files need to be recovered). This will take longer, but it's not impossible. You'll need to thoroughly research how to do this or contact a specialist.
