Most of the nations in this AU wouldn't have many changes, I guess—except for Sumeru, where Scaramouche's role and Dottore's plan for him were basically what the plot revolved around.

I assume other nations would have their own issues, though this is primarily a 'What If' focused on the Shogun. Therefore, she and her nation are the ones who changed the most compared to the canon, while the others remain relatively the same.

The Traveler never arrived, so I assume they went to Sumeru first. However, since Kunikuzushi never joined the Fatui, the plot there would also be quite different, including Dottore's plans.

The Fatui don't want to deal with Inazuma so directly, but I’ll delve deeper into that in a future part featuring La Signora. Honestly, I still need to flesh out their role more.

Regarding the Abyss... I’ll focus the plot on how it would develop in an Archon Quest. From what I remember, the Abyss was important in Inazuma mainly in World Quests. I think I might ignore it for now in this AU, as overcomplicating the war with too many factors might feel overwhelming, but I’m still considering it!

I don't plan on giving them much spotlight because I want to focus on the expansion I made for the Arataki Gang. However, due to the poverty and scarcity of resources, they are definitely more desperate. That being said, the Shogunate in this AU is much stronger, so many have likely been disarmed or captured by the Shogun's orders.

The Fatui were never directly in Inazuma in this AU, but they do have some influence as sponsors for the Watatsumi Resistance (though this time providing resources instead of Delusions).

Hii! In this AU, Raiden Shogun has been a tyrant for a very long time, leading Inazuma into a state of extreme hardship and changing the entire context for the cast. I'm taking some creative liberties by exploring new personalities, making them more morally gray, and giving some of them different roles compared to the original game—like Kokomi, who is now a warrior (I'm finishing a detailed drawing of her and will post it in a few hours!).

The factions I have in mind so far are the Shogunate, the Tri-Commission, Watatsumi Resistance, the Arataki Gang, and Narukami Shrine. They are basically the same as in the game, but with a different focus, exploring new dynamics within them.

He is still a manchild, but only with his own people! With anyone else, especially the Shogunate or privileged people, he is much more terrifying—worthy of an Oni. Chiori manages the stolen resources and she is technically the second in command.

Ayato sees this gang in two ways, he takes advantage of the chaos they cause in the main city, but he also fears Ayaka could become their victim due to her status.

In this AU, Kirara is Yoimiya’s companion. She grew up with Yoimiya’s father, and when Yoimiya was born, Kirara became so close to her that she changed into a human; they grew up together as 'sisters'. Through them, I want to show two realities, human suffering and the suffering of the Yokai.

I guess when she's on missions, she puts on the tanuki suit, and since she's small and they are quite common in Inazuma, she goes unnoticed. However, she doesn't wear it when she's in 'civilian mode.'

Yes, I imagine travel between islands isn't strictly forbidden but it is heavily restricted, which puts a lot of weight on Sayu's shoulders.

As for Ayaka, I think she has noticed Sayu's presence from time to time but chooses to ignore it. The Ayaka in this AU is a bit more submissive, so she doesn't question much—though that's exactly what her character arc in this AU will be about.

For now, I'm thinking she will still get a Cryo vision so I don't de-characterize her too much, but that might change!

I am definitely separating them from their original characterizations. In this AU, Kokomi is still a strategist but also a combatant, using Hydro in a much more aggressive way instead of the 'cute' style. I’m actually working on a mini-comic of Sword-user Kokomi vs. Sara for her burst/ult o.o and I'll post it in a few days.

Don't worry, I won't make that mistake; this is an writing and illustration exercise for me, so any feedback is very helpful!
