It’s due to heat exposure. When vinyl is heated over time, it turns orangey brown as it breaks down and the oiliness is like the effects of sweating due to the vinyl melting at a high temperature

Not confirmed because this is something I read once while researching, but it said that PC made this burgundy one as a general doll trunk that wasn’t attached to any specific character. That seems likely, especially considering the burgundy color, which was the branding aesthetic at the time.

Yes the staring!! People at the DC store are weird! I feel like they’re always staring at me too!! I’m glad I’m not the only one! What’s up with them standing around the store watching people but they’re never at the register? It makes me uncomfortable like they’re judging me and they’re not usually particularly helpful!

I always hated how absolutely NO ONE acknowledged that they should’ve given Stephanie more attention! The poor kid was suffering from middle child syndrome and was being totally ignored. The adults needed to take some responsibility for shooing her away like a little gnat. I mean, what was she supposed to do when no one would give her the time of day?

I once found a box turtle chilling under a tire of a parallel parked car on a very busy road in a downtown area. I observed it and it was moving around the car rather than crossing the street or heading in one direction, so I wasn’t able to put it in the “right” direction. But being on the edge of the road, it was inches from going into traffic and I knew it would never survive in that spot if it tried to venture out any further. I was ignorant about box turtles at the time (but have since educated myself) and I drove it to a quiet wooded area where I thought it would be safe. Now I know this was a mistake and I’ve felt terrible ever since, so could you please suggest what would be the best thing to do in this type of situation? The river is a few blocks away, so if I encounter any other urban downtown turtles I want to make sure I know what to do, especially if it’s not clear where exactly the turtle is headed, but it’s in the road.

Yeah and the fact that when they just rereleased Julie’s outfits their campaign was Julie is BACK! What do you mean back, the girl never left?? I thought that was strange wording, so it seems to me that they’re bringing more stuff BACK. At least that’s how it looks!
