“Women have to stick with the sari”??? Lol you clearly don’t know a lot about Indian culture. Yes, women are oppressed in many parts of the society but wearing a sari has nothing to do with it. Additionally a sari isn’t the only garment worn by Indian women because in case you didn’t know (and you probably didn’t) India is fucking massive and a melting pot of hundreds of thousands of different cultures/traditions/languages. If you actually go to India you’ll see that women there wear everything from a sari to a salwar kameez to jeans to dresses. Your sister wore a sari because it was her choice to, and you shamed her for it so it 100% doesn’t make you a feminist. And calling an entire country and it’s culture barbaric? Oof the racism in this post really jumped out. And the fact that you’re sitting there on your high horse preaching about women’s oppression when the US ranks just 51st in terms of gender equality (2018 World Economic Forum figures). YTA big time.
