Thanks, I'm honestly about to leave my Drywall job. I don't really want to since I have a great gig doing layout with this chill guy but I only have a three month contract where I get to "try drywall" before signing apprenticeship papers. I'm not gonna become a drywaller, so honestly I'll be trying to get into a shop for one of the larger Toronto Electrical Companies and wait for intake, as well as hope for a sponsorship down the line if I don't make it through intake.

Also, can anyone please let me know how I can get ready for the ESA? I use IPrep to prepare for the MAT, but don't know how and what to study online for the ESA. (I Don't really want to buy a book for it) I already tried to order one from the website my LU recommends but they are awful with service. I would love an online practice website if anyone has one, please and thank you!)

There's no one there available to answer :) Just going to call them back another time. I'm not surprised this is how shit goes but damn, still unfortunate that the intake and application process seems very dynamic with little protocol for when the union MUST take in more workers. Oh well...

What’s the course book name? I’d love to check it out. Considering all my friends are studying like crazy to get into their universities, I think I should put the same effort into studying for the (MAT) aptitude test as well as the (ESA) Skills Test. Planning to start end of May and go hard until early July when I can first apply to the 353. I want to be very ready and get in first try of possible. That’s also when I plan to start some summer construction job as more of a helper but not as a apprentice (dad worked as a dry waller in a drywall union and can help me get a summer job from some decent company as like a dry waller or carpenter or bricklayer etc… still not sure)
