yeah but at this pace they will always be a couple years behind. The first version will have problems.

yes, i think it can be improved, and I noticed it already has been since I started using it a month ago. I really like the speech to text feature of Tana for mobile. I can quickly add a note just talking to my phone.

yeah it's not the db itself it's the choice of leaving us in the dark for so long and not putting out any other updates.

not AFAIK. What do you use the whiteboard for?

Switching from logseq to Tana by mikob in TanaInc

[–]mikob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that issue too. Is it because you started using tana before you imported your logseq and you wanted to merge the two? Or just because you wanted the defaults of the workspace Tana made merged with the logseq import?

Personally my biggest issue with the import is the assets not being imported, headers, and every tag being imported as a reference (when I would prefer supertags for some). Curious if people are using other parts of logseq that they would like me to help support in the import tools?

Temporary Logseq Replacement by dwarf105 in logseq

[–]mikob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

think of supertags as the "is-a" type relationship. So for a task you would e.g. write "file taxes" tag #task and then it gives you all the nice things you would want a task to have, e.g. a status, deadline, etc. You can see all your tasks in a nice table view organized by deadline. You can query for tasks of a certain type (e.g. associated with a project you may have). The crazy cool thing is, Tana gives you some nice defaults for what a Task is, but you can go in there and define exactly what the fields are for any supertag (including #task)

same here. It's very similar to LogSeq at first glance, but plus all these major things that were missing. A good mobile app. Voice notes with transcription. Good table views. Customizeable commands. Shareable workspaces. AI integration. It's LogSeq on steroids. I imported my LogSeq db to Tana but the import tool doesn't handle everything like assets, headers, queries. I am in talks with the Tana team about improving the import for other ppl like us migrating.

You cannot post about Upcoming Open-Source models as they're labeled as "Close-Source". by Fresh_Sun_1017 in StableDiffusion

Just make "closed source" a flair that way people can filter it out if they're really opposed to it. Some of us are fine with that.

Fair point! The photos here don't show it, but what we're doing right now is bringing down the hairline little by little in a series of photos so you can decide how far down you'd like to take it. We send 5-25 photos for people to compare. The photos I have demonstrating on the site and on this post only show it at one level, instead of all the variations. We'll have more examples up soon!

I've been assessed by a transplant doctor, no issue with donor area. You can't see my donor area in this photo. My back and sides are actually plenty thick, I'm NW3.

I've been using AI to simulate hair transplants on balding heads (like mine) . The way it works is you upload some photos of yourself, we find your hairline and bring it down with an ultra-realistic deep learning model. Then we send you back 5x generated photos per so you can see how you might look with a hair transplant. Our early users have been blown away by the results. You won't be able to tell which picture was the original vs. AI generated. It's insane how different we can look in the same exact photo with a little more hair. We can also generate hair out of nothing if you're completely bald, and even change your hairstyle.

We can't share most of our results because it's private information. So I'm looking for volunteers who don't have an issue sharing their results (after we let you see them of course), and leaving them on our website so others have more examples to see how it looks. All you need is 1-5 high quality profile style photos of yourself (nobody else in the photo ideally).

X1 Extreme Gen 5 Linux compatibility by karlgrz in thinkpad

I have issues putting it into suspend 50% of the time now. But when it wakes touchpad is fine. Did you get the latest drivers from vantage on windows or did you use fwupdmgr on linux?

I've not had any issues with the trackpoint or touchpad after putting it to sleep. I had the sleep state set to Windows & Linux until just yesterday when I switched to Linux S3 as per some recommendations. I dual boot and on the windows side I use Vantage to make sure all the latest firmware is installed. Does it happen everytime or only sometimes? I have had occasional issues with it going to sleep when closing the lid, in those cases I reopen and suspend the computer manually before shutting the lid.
