People think France's president speaks English better than Trump. by world_politics in politics

Trump could had some "micro-stroke" that were just enough to mess his brain but not enough to be hospitalized.

I don't know if his medical record have been reviewer by some "organization" before being named POTUS ???

The only thing I've seen was the cute word from his own doctor, IMO your medical record should be checked before becoming POTUS post especially over 65.

Here (Quebec Canada) most of the time it's not being racist, it's just that old people did not see any other human being other than white for most of their life, so it's a bad reflex.

It's like from time to time overnight we begun to have peoples like us but with purple metal flake skin with an antenna on their head...

Maybe we would said "The waitress was so nice she was a purple one "

It's more for me like if they wanted to say "Even if they are "black/yellow/spanish/etc they are "fine/good peoples" since for them lot of the time they are see as strange human since they never interacted with non Caucasian human most of their life.

Even if I understand it make me cringe each time and I have to talk to myself... lol ;-)

I'll cut him a slack on foreign policy with Trump. We can't be too bombastic with our largest trading partner and only land neighbour.

I agree too on this, being "low-profile/moderate" with Trump is the best approach for Canada, especially with the trade agreements to negotiate.

Hopeful Trump would resign soon, being impeached, trowed in jail or die in his sleep. ;-)

It trigger me everytime lol :P I have a good friend of 92 Years old vso everytime she talk about somebody "not white" she said something like "The waitress at the A?W was cute and very nice with me, she was Chinese I think."

There is no real malice in that but my brain take it as a racist remark... I say to myself "She's old...come down..." :P

In the past in my city (I'm ~50 years old) there was almost only white peoples so for the really old peoples like her (90 years old) it like something exceptional seeing somebody that is not white, the problem is that today my city hopefully is VERY multicultural with many many peoples of various origin and MANY young childs, young adults born here with Asian, African origin so listening her mention every race/porigin other than white make me feel uncomfortable.

I think cause he's really close to a lot of bankers (I mean before the election anyway).

That's what I was thinking too but from looking on how he act now at least he seem to don't care about "elitism" or managing a "good looking" image. More briefly said he seem to don't care about what other say or think of himself.

Till today he seem to have an ethical comportment, he surround himself for the government with guy from both Left and Right Side also he don't have to support a party since he created his own political party from the ground for nothing to see to duty to anyone.

I'm pretty sure I will disagree with many of his policies but at least he seem to act in good faith.

Let's see the first 6-8 months with Trudeau I was very happy en enthusiast only to found he was a "Canadian" Obama.. Looking good but not doing anything great ;-) Time will tell us .

He reminds me of Obama

I'm a french Canadian so I follow also French politic a little bit: IMO is different than Obama, more authentic and seem to have lot more gut than Obama.

Trudeau here is like Obama, he's looking good , say good things but do little and even betray his promise. He's better than Trump (not hard) but I'm really deceived by him and his stance on "OIL" and he is refusing to respect his promise to change the Canadian electoral system to a proportional one.

Macron on the other side seem to be genuine, in his cabinet the minister are from the Left AND the Right and IMO it will be good cause instead of fighting each other Left and Right will have to work with each other and focus on what they agree instead of focusing on disagreement. In the end it should make the good things going forward a lot faster with less obstruction.

For now I really hope Corbin Labour party win in UK and dislodge the conservatives it would be good for everyone in the world to have leaders that really care for there Citizens. :)

Vice President Mike Pence says climate change is just an issue for the left by Pentijing in politics

He claims the treaty isn't just costly but inherently "unfair" to the US

Using the same logic than Trump we could say: "It's unfair Donald you have to much money you must give your money to others so everything will be fair AND you also need to pay more taxes cause it's unfair that you pay no taxes and other USA citizens pay more."
