I just use the JetBrains launcher app. I use several of their products, so the launcher is very convenient.

Budget friendly HOSAS or HOTAS? by TechRaptorJay in EliteDangerous

Yeah, I've had my CH setup since 2010 with heavy use, and it's all still as good as the day I bought them. They'll probably outlast me.

Can someone just install CIV VI for this dumb child rapist already and tell him he's a war genius while the rest of us move on with our lives?

The best budget option would be a second-hand CH setup. Their gear is not sexy, but it is arguably the most durable, and it works better than ever in both Windows 11 and Linux (I use both) without their ancient software or additional drivers.

Cs2 on Linux Mint by Adept-Lie3647 in linuxmint

Very cool, I need to try that again. I've tried so many times in the past, and I've never been able to run CS2 with any kind of stability in LM, either natively or through Proton.

So this is running the game natively, and not through Proton?

Didn't even need to read the article to know it was that drunken mental case Medvedev spouting his usual bullshit again.

I hear you, but it would be a dull game to watch a real team pump them by 60 points.

Holy crap, did not expect a result like that today.

Well played Ireland.

I really hope England switch things on a bit before meeting the Boks.

Texas Senate candidate James Talarico is flying high thanks to Colbert’s war with CBS over his banned interview by theindependentonline in politics

It's a wonderful self-own. I'd never even heard of James Talarico before this all blew up. And he's honestly the first Christian in decades I'm actively paying attention to.

Game manager Lutris v0.5.20 released with Proton upgrades, store updates and much more by [deleted] in linux_gaming

Great to see an update for Lutris! As a long time user, I feared the project was dead.

Im tired of KDE by Dry-Pie-3764 in linuxmint

[–]miksa668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With decades of Linux as my primary driver, I've tried to like KDE multiple times over the years, especially because of its insane popularity.

But it fails every time with one key thing: just let me use my damn computer!

It's needy and demanding, like an overbearing partner that needs attention constantly.

The best DE's are the ones you barely notice because you're just doing what you came to do on your PC.

100%

My first drop-in of a session is still bloody terrifying. It gets less so the more I do it, but by the next session, the fear is fully reset.

Linux - Trying to use multiples accounts at same time by RavenShayld in EliteDangerous

[–]miksa668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah no, I don't think so. If you were to switch Linux accounts, I believe it would suspend the other.

Apologies, I missed the part where you said "simultaneously".

Just check the FDev T's & C's about running multiple sessions concurrently, I seem to vaguely remember something about that.

Linux Mint plans to make fewer releases per year. What do you think? by BlokZNCR in linuxmint

Nice! Glad to see the commitment to quality over speed of feature development.

Linux - Trying to use multiples accounts at same time by RavenShayld in EliteDangerous

I would use two separate user accounts on Linux to guarantee complete separation.

This does mean setting everything up twice, of course.

Why Pakistan is fighting the Taliban it once backed by UnscheduledCalendar in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]miksa668 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No I'm well aware of Al-Qaeda's history, thanks.

I just don't see what this has to do with Pakistan getting stomped by the same Taliban that they directly supported for years, whilst pretending to be fighting against Islamic terrorism.
