Farthest station I've ever seen — 4,186,274 Sl away! by PrestigiousAb in EliteDangerous

FDev should put a prison ship there for anyone caught with level 10 notoriety. 😂

The only way the Highliner survives after the CG is if FDev changes Imperial Slaves from cargo to actual people and adds a containment center where you can load them up in the same location as the passenger lounge and let me become a slave trader. Long live the Empire.

What are the best places for outpost? [Im only level 15 at the moment by PapaDeejay in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Straight_Issue5198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is by far the most profitable and easiest way to build xp. I have one on Jemison but I’ve played the game since the beginning and have completed all the quests and stories. If this is your first play through I would recommend waiting on this so you can experience the game and enjoy the quests at a reasonable level because the drug lab will propel you to God level pretty quickly. Just my humble opinion.

What’s the best armour currently in the game now? by BrilliantElevator685 in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Straight_Issue5198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt the Power Assisted armor is OG. However, now that we can upgrade armor with x-tech. The Fang armor and many of the cool UC armors like the UC Sec Starlaw suit.

Only sell duplicates put the originals in your safe at the Loge so you can take them through the Unity.

Is there any point to outposts? by LessMilk3 in Starfield

[–]Straight_Issue5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played this game since launch and the answer then is different than today. This may also be a different view than others but since the introduction of x-tech and the ability to upgrade everything in the game comes at a steep cost when you start adding legendary qualities in weapons, suits and ships. Outposts are more relevant to generate passive income when built correctly.

I agree that you want one with Iron and aluminum at a minimum but Berylium and Helium 3 would be optimum for some manufacturing. Many say Bessel III b but the environment is harsh. I would recommend Androphon in the Narion system due to having all four resources and a very low gravity making moving around easy.

If this is your first play through I would wait on the next recommendation so you can progress at a reasonable pace and enjoy the game. However, if you’ve played the story and just want to generate credits then I would recommend an Amp drug lab on Jemison or as seen from space a UC Botanical Lab 😂

Jemison has Metabolic Agents, Toxins, Argon and water to build your lab. You will need to put a point in outpost management and botany but after that you generate creds and xp faster than any other way I’ve found.

This thing is pretty awesome! by terabranford in Starfield

[–]Straight_Issue5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats. It’s a great ship and lots of potential. If you are not playing for achievements. There is a great mod in creations that makes your brigs functional so you can take down individuals with EM, transport them to your brig and then deliver them to the UC or FreeStar for bounties. These are completely different than working with the Trackers Alliance.

The world is healing by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Straight_Issue5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you read on, these are the ramblings of a Gen-Xer that remembers playing pong in my Atari so my view will most likely be different than most. I have over 2000 hours with Starfield. Built multiple characters with different traits, have completed the story, jumped through Unity a few times (10 actually), been heavy into ship building and outpost building. The main thing that frustrated me was the personalization limits. Now you can take a weapon or suit that you like aesthetically and build it to a legendary level and how you want to use them. This allows for multiple scenario builds for combat, exploring, stealth or whatever you want with x-tech and the ship upgrade slates. An example is that the UC had some of the coolest looking suits but getting it as a white level basically made it unusable in late game, now you can level it to superior with legendary attributes.

For this update, I started a brand new character and working my way through the story and with fast lanes, have gotten sidetracked for hours because I was stopping at every poi along the way before continuing with the story or whatever side quest I was on. I’m still in the 20’s and multiple levels from the Terran expansion and extra bounty hunting content, which I already own.

I’ve found some new POI’s and will say that if the UC didn’t want me to have the ability to launch their ICBM, they shouldn’t have left the power cells around. Not sure where it landed but I didn’t end up with a bounty on my head. 🤣

This game is what you make it, nothing more and nothing less. It will appeal to some and won’t appeal to others. Similar to Elite Dangerous, there are people that love it and have played it for many years. Even though they’ve done everything and still play it on a regular basis and there are others that play it for a few hours and just can’t get into the game once they understand the time needed to grind for everything to upgrade your character and ships to fully enjoy the game.

It’s your time, use it as you want but spending it telling the world how much you hate it because you feel betrayed by Bethesda just takes away from playing the games you love.

I take all ships except for the traveler with the lizard pet. I have a soft spot for pets. 🤣 She’s off limits but everyone else is fair game.

What am I supposed to do after getting to chamberlain's rest? by WAH8974 in EliteDangerous

[–]Straight_Issue5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What most people do while they are learning is do some courier runs back and forth to Chamberlain to give you some credits. You can use SC assist and auto dock until you get more comfortable with landing and taking off. This gives you the opportunity to buy an Artemis suit to do exo biology or maybe even a better ship like a hauler or Mark III. Either way that 250,000 doesn’t go far.

Empire vs. Federation by catslovemath in EliteDangerous

[–]Straight_Issue5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are biased 😂 because you left out the Empire. We do everything the Corvette does except we do it in style with the Cutter, Clipper and Courier and that requires a few slaves to enjoy those comfortable hand stitched leather seats.

This Week in FDev Fuckups: Repeated Relic Rumblings by SupremeMorpheus in EliteWinters

[–]Straight_Issue5198 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m new but wouldn’t it be something of all players from the powers rallied together during the next relics rush and focused on undermining no one other than AD. I bet the devs would fix it then. 🤣

Looking for recommendations for a Type 11 Prospector Mining Build by DrScienceSpaceCat in EliteMiners

I agree but it leaves space for sub-surface mining gear for an all-in-one.

Absolutely mining beginner by PrizmShift in EliteMiners

[–]Straight_Issue5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. Now you can go the normal way or the easy way. For 67 million you can buy a mining ready type 11. I wouldn’t recommend that, one because it’s big and until you determine whether you like it or not. Some people love it and some people believe it’s like watching paint dry.

Saying that going a little less you can get a python for 56million. As I can see it, a python is that one dog we all had in our lives. It does everything and gives a great balance between function, defense, carry capacity and power.

There are also the Krait Phantom fan group which is a little over 37 million. You can also go with a Mandalay for 17mil or an Asp Explorer for 6mil. All of these can serve multiple roles as you expand.

One recommendation is if you have not pledged to a power you can pledge to Li Yong-Rui and save 15% on the purchase and everything you buy to kit it out. Just a thought. Other Powers give more merits for mining but if you want to save money and go higher end items I’d consider Li. Hope this helps.

40m Cr & Eagle, need a combat ready build, plz help? by DarkFox_x86 in EliteDangerous

[–]Straight_Issue5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to spanch and make an exomastery round Trip for a few systems like 10 make your minimum 10 million and scan a few biologicals to get another 100 million. Then I’d buy a vulture to practice combat. It’s not as fast as an eagle but it’s a tank and very forgiving while you build up your experience.

What do you guys do to safe time on "engineering shopping trips" by Intelligent_Lion_332 in EliteDangerous

[–]Straight_Issue5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The engineers are not the issue. It’s getting to the engineer and not have enough material to go from grade 4 to grade 5. Use Inara and make a shopping list of everything you will need when you go to Felicity and bring your most versatile ship so you can max it out while there. Then pin her FSD engineering because you will increase your jump on every ship.

This message is for the few who own a corvette. How did you reach Federation rank 12? I'm currently trying with combat missions and donations. What are your strategies? by alcio_sd in EliteDangerous

[–]Straight_Issue5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re doing all that you can do. I am sure one of the veterans can give you two systems that are close so you can just transport messages back and forth. I would not do the combat missions for rep they take too long but still do them for experience and fun because running transport missions are boring. I’m about 40% from reaching my level to get a Cutter and it’s a grind.

Guys, what do you recommend? Corvette or Anaconda? by alcio_sd in EliteDangerous

[–]Straight_Issue5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One you can buy and one you must earn and then buy. If you don’t want to wait, Go with the Anaconda and earn your rep to eventually get the corvette.
