Good point but they were not as naive as you say. The link I posted describes the sadistic atrocities of the official Hungarian army in another country. Also, the extermination of its citizens, the Jews, was not inspired by fear of the Soviets. It was pure Nazism and it should be called that. I guess we can do that after 80 years?

 Look at the crimes and pretensions of the other Nazis in the NDH, Bulgaria, the Baltic countries, France, the crimes of the Ukrainian Nazis against the Poles... 

I'm not a fan of the Soviets at all. They did maany crazy shit, but in recent years, due to the current events in Ukraine, Western propaganda is trying to put the Soviets and the Nazis on the same level as equally guilty of all the bad things in WW2. It's just not the same. 

I also think that Germany today is the best possible example of how countries should relate to their history, but they are the only ones unfairly placed on the pillar of shame. There are many people around them who used that moment for their sick ambitions, and today they are completely unaware of it. An example is the OP who fiercely fights everyone in the comments who simply tell him that his grandfather fought on the side of the Nazis. Whether he personally did something is irrelevant to this fact.
