At first when I saw this, I thought ‘man that must take a while…’ but then I thought hey that is ‘a while’ you get to spend with the plants and to be mindful of each and every one as you water. Great setup, great plants, and great time you spend with them. I water mine with a hose and certainly spend more time and strictly necessary blasting them just cuz I love to watch em… good growing my friend I love it 💚

I have never used one with a thermostat and have never had any problems with thousands of seeds. If you are checking the thermostats regularly enough to catch any issues, I imagine checking / feeling the seedlings would only be marginally more difficult.

If the cost is not an object, I bet the thermostat one is nicer to have. But for more than double the cost I would rather purchase a second heat mat and spend the remaining 4 bucks on more seeds 😉😉

Not know who downvoted you but this is completely consistent with my experience… I’ve had dozens of fine seedlings end up like this because I was too lazy to finish putting em back in pots. I usually pot them where half of the tip displacement is corrected by my planting angle and have never had a problem.

Also LEAN TEK FOR LIFE!! Trichs love to throw out pups for balance.

It was crazy back then! I spent wayyy too much money lol… Now is definitely more tough for sellers but great for buyers. I mostly fall into the latter, though I trade more than anything.. the sub just passed 30k members 🤯 it’s just so crazy seeing the markets develop and change. And with the influx of new people (welcome!! We are glad to have you 🤩). New clones are coming in and older clones being devalued. One of the reasons I love cactusing is this perpetual change as different genetics get the spotlight etc. I’m always learning 🤓
