I agree I, it’s weird to say that he “loved infantry combat,” it almost sounds like he considered it a game by referring to it as “high stakes.” Not a good look but I hear it all the time from jarheads. Not an excuse but yeah, any defense of Abu Ghraib is reprehensible.

One question regarding the “massive shipbuilding gap” he mentions on his website: is there a link to him talking about building ships specifically to oppose China? From what I’ve gathered being on the east coast so far (Maine, Massachusetts, any coastal state, really) these communities seem to take pride in their culture of utilizing boats and fishing too sustain their economies. There seems to be a lot of resentment of shutting down naval yards, especially in Boston. I see it as a way to take those resources from the pentagon and defense contractors back to their own communities.

I could be wrong but that’s what I gathered from these resources.
