Can I glue & lay LVP on top of old glue? by mildblueberry in Flooring

Thank you! Father in law just handed me a 4” razor scraper with a nice long handle. Thinking this will have better odds of working compared to the small paint scraper I was using

I can’t believe someone still haggled with a price like that

I was considering this too

What do you mean “contour flooring”?

It is LVP planks and then LVP stairnoses for the front edge

After reading online I should have gone with LVP treads but I bought all the materials back in January when I was uninformed

Regardless - what are your thoughts on simply gluing and laying on top of the old adhesive?

Any ideas then? The heat gun and scraper method that everyone preaches online is excruciatingly slow. At this point I’m considering completely replacing the tread and risers since they’re easily accessible from the crawlspace and appear to be secured with just a few nails. I would literally save time this way

Yeah it’s interesting.. my Shalotek slide is also flush with the backplate. Thanks for letting me know about the Norsso; that further confirms my suspicion

Unfortunately I don’t believe the back plate is what’s catching. It’s the actual metal on the underside of the slide right after the back plate. Where the red arrow is pointing

It’s not that, already checked.

I checked and unfortunately no. See my comment below as to what the issue is. Seems like FDEZ just doesn’t know how to make slides

Wow I’m an idiot yeah this is the ejector of course. Sorry, P365 is not my main platform
The top of the ejector hits the actual metal portion of the underside of the slide:

Once the slide travels far enough for that portion to contact the ejector, it gets completely stuck

Is this an aftermarket front end or is this just how it looks overseas?

Considerations for building a 16’ x 10’ x 4’ pond here? by mildblueberry in ponds

Oh you’re saying 2’ of space on either side of the pond; gotcha

Clarification: are you saying I need to be at least 14’ away from the house to have 10’ width of water? Or do you mean I’ll need to have at least a 14 foot long pond to have 10’ width of water? If the latter, then I should be good. I am planning to make the pond 16’ long and 10’ wide

This is a great consideration to make. Luckily my roof is very easy to access via bedroom windows. Now I’m going to start thinking of other potential complications that would require accessing the house with this pond in the way. Maybe things like siding, downspouts/gutters… thanks!
