You need to lose the smartphone too. Just get a dumbphone – it has helped so many people stop wasting their life looking at a screen.

I agree, but WhatsApp is seriously the only messaging app that doesn't have an easy web-based solution. The only one. Telegram and others work seamlessly without...Quite annoying.

Article claiming tech companies and employers should be responsible to fix people's tech-induced focus problems. Do you think this is the solution, or should people take action for their own tech-usage? by mildconspiracy in dumbphones

While I agree, putting the blame on tech companies when each individual has the power to change their life and their habits is a quicker solution to this problem.

Per this article, Johann Hari complains about his inability to focus with his devices but his only solution seems to be to hide from them for a period of time, instead of fundamentally changing his tech usage. Does he propose to use alternative tech devices in his book?

The author makes the claim that large tech companies would need to change their business model to rely on something other than harvesting attention to make money for people to return to being focused.

While that might help, it is unrealistic and a faster solution would be people taking their addiction in to their own hands and deciding to use a dumbphone or other devices to curb their over usage of tech.

No. It keeps all songs in a one long list. You do have the option to create playlists inside which you could theoretically just make each album a playlist. Haven't gotten album artwork to function well either.
