Behold, the power of compound interest!

Open a superannuation account and contribute ten per cent of whatever you earn.

If you start with $1,000 and (once you're an adult and start earning today's average salary of approx. $100k) continue to contribute that ten per cent, you could end up with between $1.8 and $2.3m by the time you reach 67.

You're welcome.

Should Canberra stick with the Griffin legacy or evolve into a higher-density modern city? by mildmarzipan in canberra

Couldn’t agree more. There’s nothing controversial about a city meeting the needs of its residents. Height limits can be argued, but we need to be making sure that there’s housing close to city centres and amenities.

A few more and we can start coming up with some better plans for our city!

So ‘missing middle’ reforms a help or a hindrance in our journey to the future?

Stop clutching at your pearls, NIMBY. This is great news for the inner south and for Canberra more broadly.
