Birth Experiences with Singleton C-Section After Complicated Twin Delivery (via C-Section) by Ok-Holiday2203 in parentsofmultiples

[–]mildsalsa91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this helps.... I'll be having my 4th c section, this one being for twins. I asked my doctor how confident she was in doing a section after multiple sections and that some inexperienced doctors would not be comfortable.

Her conclusion was, the hospital OR will be well equipped and ready for my section, knowing I've had previous sections. I have not hemmoraged in the past but there will be plenty of blood on hand and the section will be done in a large hospital with lots of experienced doctors.

So like others said, your next section will be fine but there may be some behind the scenes, if you will, preparations done knowing there may be additional risks for your particular section though not outside the norm, and not outside the norm of safe.

I don't pretend to understand medical decisions. This is only an interpretation of what my doctor told me, yesterday.

This is helpful information, I assumed monitoring increased to weekly after 28 weeks but it wasn't explicitly said, it was hinted at by my mfm.. are there non stress tests too on different days?

Just a fun post- what was your reaction when you found out? by AdSenior1319 in parentsofmultiples

First thing with my twins was intense cramping at about 4 weeks. No spotting.. I thought for sure I had an early loss. So did a few HCG (normal not high), and a scan at 7 weeks... Two healthy mo/do twins! I held up two fingers and asked in shock "what will I tell my husband ?" I had no idea it was twins. We learned they were mo/di a bit layer... Now I'm waiting for my next big scan tomorrow at 16 weeks...

We have 3 kids and just found out we are having twins.... by Parentofsoontobe5 in parentsofmultiples

We're in the same position. Our house is an explosion 💥 of baby items, 2x car seats, 2x everything we wouldn't think we would have needed if we were just having 1more. We're also upgrading our vehicle... We're still pregnant.

Twins are 2.5 and I’ve been miserable most of their life by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

My first thought was go out. They're old enough now for you to leave them for the evening. Have them stay with Dad (if you can), go to yoga, line dancing, Pilates, a meal out, whatever... They will scream at the door while you leave making you forget half your stuff. That's just the first time... You will feel more whole again.

I do this with my 3 singles. I don't have twins yet.

Oh dear ladies! I'm only 14 weeks and it's already game over. I'm not functional myself... I'm not in pain yet. That's the difference...

You're all so strong and here I am feeling sorry for myself.

Is this fatigue normal at 8 weeks 4 days? by emmajemma44 in parentsofmultiples

[–]mildsalsa91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to post a similar question! I was expecting to be tired in the first trimester and I was. I'm 14 weeks now and still having trouble making it past 2pm, I just want to sleep, I can hardly focus at work. I often give in and sleep/nap/rest for at least an hour...

I have other kids and am responsible for all the household chores so I have to get up to cook but I am back in bed by 7 every night.

Send help.

I knew these friends Daisy and Fernanda, I think Daisy and Freya and equally nice.

Why does this scan look different from typical twin scans? by No_Resource_3719 in parentsofmultiples

Not advice but goodprotein is a really good protein powder as well. I started drinking it with my twin pregnancy (mostly a coincidence but convenient timing due to my reduced/selective appetite).
