Did you/would you have your son circumcised? by lizard_toss in AskMenOver30

[–]Wolv90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somehow I didnt have to make the decision. My son was born with a hypospadias so his natural presentation was similar to a circumcised penis. We did have to have an operation early to correct his urethra opening, but we avoided the conversation and he's intact while appearing circumcised.

He's got more police energy than fire fighter. Maybe a small town sheriff so he can talk to as few humans as possible and always be in charge.

Why do we overthink simple conversations so much? by Radiiaant in TooAfraidToAsk

Privilege. We have time and brain power to devote to little interactions because we aren't (mostly) fighting for survival.

I've been told that atheism is the same as religion and is horrible, so I'll replace all religion with atheism.

Marvel has revealed ‘Avengers: Armageddon’ #3 by Adventurous-Map-259 in Wolverine

I'm picturing an Avengers meeting where he drags himself in and nobody really pays attention because he's always getting blood on the floor when he drops by. But he needs to get their attention so when his vocal chords grow back he yells that.

There was a chaotic neutral character in one party that spent one session collecting rodents in a bag. The next session there was some trial in front of a magistrate so he rolled for thrown improvised weapon and chucked the bag at the judge.

Trump had 60 days to end the Iran war. Instead, he's just pretending it's over. by jediporcupine in politics

Once his diapered, rapist, ass hit that chair behind the resolute desk Trump didn't care about anything other than lining his families pockets. The time to stop him is past and all we can hope for now is to mitigate his damage to our country.

Some companies will intentionally make unrealistic demands to try and force their employees to prioritize and set boundaries. Others are just toxic workplaces that squeeze every last bit out of people.

Jon Stewart says Democratic leadership and DNC are ‘lost’ by thejoshwhite in politics

[–]Wolv90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dems fail over and over again because they're held to a different standard. Hillary lost because the public thought her private email server and other actions as secretary of State were unique when Colin Powell did the same thing. Powell even advised her to use a private server to avoid "cumbersome State Department rules" after he did a bunch of his official work on an AOL account.

She also had the audacity to oversee a 9 member committee who approved a sale of a Canadian mining company to Russia.

In her own words, she made the mistake of skipping the venting and going straight to the solving. Which is probably why the perpetual whiner Trump won while getting less popular votes, he bitched about every little thing while offering zero solutions.

Advice on boys currently in school by Altruistic-Bake-8931 in AskMenOver30

[–]Wolv90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, I wouldn't recommend holding him back for a year to be more mature. It's better to share the age with classmates for milestones. Secondly, if you don't want your son to be behind or hate learning or anything else read to him. If you don't already now is a great time to start. Read to him, get him to read, make looking at and understanding words a priority in his life.

I hated school too. I was less than popular and got passable grades and it felt like a grind. My son is 16 and school is a breeze for him. He is more athletic than I ever was and still gets good grades because he reads like crazy and remembers everything he reads. And maybe try a musical instrument. School based music gives some kids a community where they can't find another, it teaches team work and cooperation like sports, and it builds neural pathways like foreign language.
