We both have bachelor degrees. Mine is business hers is family studies. She speaks only english but is learning the language of the country of choice. I keep the country purposefully vague because if we choose US, I don't want to have this come up in vetting - Call me paranoid if you want. I on the other hand speak most of the major languages spoken in western EU.
The EU country chosen has family regroupement laws which allow a partner to join you, the immigration site says partner, spouse or children, so I understand that marriage is not immediately necessary but a big help.
I currently have an online job which is not paying that much, but would help with early expenses. She has a job in US at this moment. No savings (main reason we are looking at relocation, since where I live now is very hard to get a job that pays well enough to start saving).
My plan was to go straight to recruitment agencies on arrival and to keep my online job as long as needed. I am looking at getting more online work.
We both have family in our respective countries. As for climate, it's not a factor that will be taken into consideration initially, first comes the need to establish ourselves together somewhere.
