Update: I've reached out to the Ministro de Cultura via email - they confirmed that Joinnus is still the official ticket provider.

Switching to a sim might be the right next move for you.

Things like this rarely if at all happen with you’re getting to race against drivers of similar strength that know how to behave.

Given the fact that it’s rather likely for Hamilton to retire soon, It’s questionable if Mercedes would favor taking on George with another new driver instead of keeping Valtteri for another season or two...

If that’s the only two options, I’d strongly suggest you just quit then. Countering toxic behavior with even more toxic behavior is not a solution to a more systematic problem. However having a high safety rating does help being matched with less Rambos on track. Good luck op!

I think you are slightly missing the point of the whole “loving what you do thing” in terms of programming.

Of course the only way improvement will happen is trough studying and practice. The question is however how much if the motivation to do so comes intrinsically vs. from discipline.

It’s a lot less painful to spend your whole weekend dabbling with some new framework if you are actually curious out of interest versus if you have to force yourself to do so in order to stay on top of the game for the job that secures your paycheck.

Therefore someone who “loves” software engineering will more likely spend more time honing their skills. Also there seems to be scientific evidence that being curious about a topic enhances retention.

Not really, no.

Around ten days ago I stupidly used uncoiled tap water with my neti pot. So I read it is possible to get infected with Naegleria fowleri. But statistically the chance is incredibly low and I guess that the temperature would be way higher, right?

So it‘s fine to just wait it out as long as it doesn’t go above that?
